Two Interesting Web Comics

Both the Korean and Scott McCloud's online web comics were very interesting.  They both took a new approach to comics (not like the ones I have read before).  I like how at certain and unexpected parts the characters would move.  When you think of a comic/graphic novel you think of panels of artwork with narration and word bubbles, not the comic coming to life like an animation or becoming an animation.

The Korean web comic really freaked me out. I was not expecting the comic to move.  I actually screamed and then started laughing really hard because it was so random and unexpected.  It was a new and exciting experience.  The artwork was really good and it looked like it was a nice short comic.  I wish it had a translation.  Koreans and Japanese are really good at making horror films and apparently they are good at making horror comics too.  The only thing I don't understand is why the school girl doesn't get freaked out and run away as fast as she could.  I would have screamed and run away like there was a fire raging behind me.

Scott McCloud's comic "The Right Number" is very creative.  I like how there are pictures within pictures.  Also he would choose to zoom in on certain points, like with the eye.  The story is also really good and solid.  It was a completely different experience then the Korean web comic.  This comic at first made you happy, then sad, and then a little freaked out because the main character becomes a stalker.  The idea of finding the person who is right for you due to numbers is interesting a little confusing and obviously hasn't worked for him yet.  He would have been happy with Jodie or Julie if he wasn't so obsessed with numbers and did not forget important dinners.
